1. Remove serpentine belt. See

2. Remove radiator grille. See

3. For ACV engine code only, remove charge air cooler bracket. See

. Remove left and right

hand securing bolts. Fold lock carrier and radiator out forward.

4. Remove both timing belt guard and valve cover. See

Fig. 38

5. Turn crankshaft to TDC No. 1 cylinder. See

Fig. 44

. For AAB and ACV (non-synchro) engine codes,

marks on injection pump sprocket and console (C) and on flywheel and clutch bell housing (A) or

drive plate and clutch bell housing (B) must align. For ACV (synchro) engine code, marks on

injection pump sprocket and console (C) and on flywheel and clutch bell housing (A) or drive plate,

and clutch bell housing (B) must align. See
